Updated portfolio

It has been a while, but we have finally updated our portfolio page. It's actually somewhat surprising how much work we've completed - four new websites, one redesigned site and two new logos. If you need a new site or logo design, drop us a line!

Upcoming event - CityLit Festival in Baltimore

The Spumoni Press gang will be participating again in this year's Baltimore CityLit Festival, which takes place 10 a.m.-5 p.m. April 14 at the downtown Baltimore Enoch Pratt Free Library.

Make a website with the Make Website Button!

Have you ever wondered how easy it is to make a website? Surely those guys who build the internets have a secret to making things quickly, right? Well, we're going to let on to a little secret here at Spumoni Press. You are correct. It is easy. When someone asks us to build a website, we just use the Make Website Button! It's simple, convenient and is FDA approved.

Try it for yourself! (Project manager not included.)

Tell Congress: Don't censor the Web

Let's join Google, Wikipedia and others in telling Congress not to censor the web! Fighting online piracy is important. The most effective way to shut down pirate websites is through targeted legislation that cuts off their funding. There’s no need to make American social networks, blogs and search engines censor the Internet or undermine the existing laws that have enabled the Web to thrive, creating millions of U.S. jobs.

New book, "Corporate Ties," is out

The latest book by Ben Woods is out. Corporate Ties - Relocation, Recruitment, and Romance in the Workplace (Business gibberish included!) is loosely based on a true story about Ben's previous job experiences. The book is available directly from Ben as well as on Amazon.

Site redesigned

The Spumoni Press website finally received the facelift it has needed for the last few months. We've added more projects to our portfolio and more books (well, one new one published), as well as a featured portfolio item/book on most pages. We'll continue to update and improve the site as we go, so if you have any ideas or anything you'd like to see here, definitely pass it along!

24 Hour Comic Day

This saturday is 24hr comic day. If you're not familiar with it, 24hr comic day is essentially a day when comic creators work on comics for 24 hours straight, with the intended outcome being a 24 page comic. This year, Brad and Sean decided to participate (and Ben will be hanging out as well).

Books now on Facebook

It has taken a bit of time, but Ben's books, "The Developers" and "Corporate Ties" are now posted as book pages on Facebook. Be sure to "Like" them if you have time (and, well, if you do actually like them). Here are the links:

And there goes National Spumoni Day ...

Originally, Spumoni Press had planned a few exciting activities, including a contest, for this year's National Spumoni Day. Whoops! The day of celebration was Aug. 21. I guess this means we'll have to schedule the fun and games for later on in the year.

We will have a few interesting things coming in the next few months. At minimum, there will be a book launch in September and a comics day in October. Stay tuned for more details!

Upcoming events

Brad is going to be attending a couple events over the next couple months. First is the Pittsburgh Comic Con on April 16th and 17th. The show actually starts on the afternoon of the 15th, but he won’t be able to make it until Saturday. He’ll be there with his brother, Dave Samuelson, and their friend Jason Wright who is a colorist for a bunch of books from DC Comics and is a pretty awesome painter.
