Have you ever wondered how easy it is to make a website? Surely those guys who build the internets have a secret to making things quickly, right? Well, we're going to let on to a little secret here at Spumoni Press. You are correct. It is easy. When someone asks us to build a website, we just use the Make Website Button! It's simple, convenient and is FDA approved.
Spumoni Press is pleased to launch its first school website, Southwest Baltimore Charter School. The site uses the Drupal content management system to allow teachers and other individuals within the school community to post news, events, photos and links for the public to view. SBCS is a vibrant, rigorous school of active learners at the heart of a thriving Southwest Baltimore community.
By now, you've probably heard about the recent release of the movie "Gnomeo and Juliet." Judging from the title, I'd have to assume it's love story between two gnomes and their quest to be together. Of course, we here at Spumoni Press are quite familiar with the gnome-related items from author and illustrator Brad Samuelson's comic "As the Grass Grows."
We haven't had much time lately to update the Spumoni blog, so I thought I'd put together a quick wrap-up of everything we've accomplished in 2010. I have to admit, I was a bit surprised reviewing everything. I hadn't realized the pile of stuff that has amassed!
• Company - An obvious one, but Spumoni Press opened its doors in 2010. • Company website - Along with the company opening, we created a public-facing website to display any and all info about our shop.
We are staying obnoxiously busy here at Spumoni Press. We wish we had more to show you, but hopefully we'll be able to announce new sites and completed work in the near future. We've been so busy that we haven't even had time to make more ice cream! Then again, it's starting to get colder outside, so maybe we'll stick to our day jobs and work on new flavors next year ...
For all you cats (and gnomes) out there who have been waiting to purchase the As the Grass print version, "Gnonsense," you are in luck! Buy away on the store page. Remember, the more books you buy, the greater the chance that gnomes around the globe will rejoice ... and guard your lawn.
If you still haven't decided just yet to purchase, here's a quick synopsis and quotes from a few other industry authors/artists to seal the deal.
I'm sure many of you, especially those of you who are cyborgs, are familiar with the my robot friends website. Well, I have great news! The site has been redesigned with many new robots to check out. Site creator, illustrator and metal (and other materials used to make robots) lover Sean O'Connor launched the new site after burning the midnight oil. This made many of the robots angry, as they were left without vital fluids. But fortunately, Sean purchased more oil, and they are happy again.
August 21 is National Spumoni Day. Did you know that? I seriously doubt it. But who cares? It's an entire day to celebrate Spumoni! If you don't know what Spumoni is, check out the Wikipedia page. Better yet, let me explain why you should care about Spumoni in the first place.
I know I've said this before, but I am getting closer to publishing my new book, "Corporate Ties." There was a bit of foundation work that I needed to construct, edit, tear apart, rebuild, pulverize, stack up, decimate and recompile. Well, the good news is that I'm getting closer to the end. How do I know this? There seems to be a light at the end of each paragraph now.
